Launched in 1999 by farmers for farmers Highland Drovers Limited was designed to process beef, lamb and pork for a direct marketing venture. The demand for high specification butchering and packing led us to offer this service on a broader base. We are licensed to enable framers to retail throughout the UK under their own name or brand. We are currently processing for several farmers who are enjoying the improved returns from the increased popularity of farmers markets. Highland Drovers has recently secured certification as an organic red-meat processing facility.We operate a modern facility in Perth, where we have developed a compact ad efficient unit. In addition to our butchering unit and retail packing facility, we fully mature all carcasses prior to preparation and complements these services with contract blast freezer facilities. Waste charge £3 per side of beef - £0.80p per sheep/ lamb - £2.25 per pig
Standard burger manufacture -price per pack £0.92
Standard sausage manufacture - price per pack £0.95
Freezing charge - £8 per batch to freeze and store for up to 5 days - For frozen storage over 5 days will be charged at £30 per week or part of.
Below are links to our basic forms to help you book in an order and decide how you would like the animal processed. Please print out and fill in and preferably fax back to the office. Alternatively you can email or call and some one will go through the details with you.
For new customers and all customers without approved credit facilities with Highland Drovers all invoices to be paid in full at time of collection of order.
Credit application forms are available for any new customers wishing to use Highland Drovers on a regular basis.
All customers with credit facility are requested to pay invoices within 14 days -we reserve the right to charge interest on any amount outstanding after 30 days. Any debt recovery fees incured by us in seeking payment for outstanding invoices will become the responsblity of the debtor.
Every effort will be made to accommodate specific requests regarding the butchering of carcases. In order to avoid disappointment customers are requested to confirm with Highland Dorvers how their order is to be butchered and packed one week before collection. We reserve the right to process the order to a normal specification, if specific processing instructions are not supplied one week before collection. We also reserve the right, not process the order if no specific processing instructions are supplied at least one week before collection and to charge for extra storage.
Once an order leaves our premise we will accept no responsibility for any faults, errors or problems found later. By collecting the order the customer accepts that the order is complete, correct and to an acceptable standard. We request that customers collect there product in refrigerated transport or insulated boxes. Highland Drovers will not accept resonsibilty for how the product is transported or stored after it leaves our premise.
Where appropriate customers are requested to supply estimates to two-month rolling forecast for their processing requirements. Customers who submit their best estimates of the processing requirements four or six weeks in advance will always be given priority over unplanned submissions although every effort will be made to accommodate urgent requests.
